We recommend getting regular maintenance on your AC unit to prevent future repairs and to increase energy efficiency. Our team of experts recommends getting an air conditioner tune-up at least once a year, preferably just prior to the summer months.

Air Conditioner Filters

Just like a furnace, your air conditioner unit has a filter. This ensures that your AC unit works efficiently. We recommend to look at your filter and change it upon noticing it being dirty or black. This should occur 1-2 times within the summer months.

AC Coils

The air conditioner coils are part of the airflow circuit and just like the AC filter, they get dirty with time. This can cause a variety of issues.

It is recommended cleaning the AC coils at least once per year, or more should you notice.

Care for it

It may sound silly, but you need to take care of your AC unit even when it’s not in use such as in the winter months. We recommend covering the unit so that it can prevent getting water and dirt in the system.

Usage

While using your air conditioner, it is recommended that you keep an eye for anything out of the norm such as odd noises coming from the AC unit. It’s always best to prevent than to cure so the earlier you detect an issue, the less money a repair may cost you.
